The dragon DRAKZO- For Trolska Skogen

In November 2011 Trolska Skogen ( Helena Brusell) contacted me to be involved in the build up of a big dragon for her adventure park "Trolska Skogen" for kids.

Since I do create a lot of props for film, love creating things, work a lot with skull artwork and I love dragons, this project appealed very much to me so I wanted to be on board for this ride!

My main mission was to be in charge of creating the dragons head and the paint job of the entire dra

gon. I was also to be involved in helping out on parts of the body when needed.

My younger sister Janina Stoor, was to be in charge of sculpting the body i.e the dragons legs, tail, bum... She used a chain saw and sculpted out bodyparts in styrofoam. She was also in charge of getting all material for the dragons body organized. For example the concrete layer to be added on top of the styrofoam.

The material I used for the dragons head is different from the body, this is a material called Airex and Jesmonite, so the head was built up in a different way than the body, this due to the fact that there are electronic appliances in the head.

I also created silicone eyelids and one of them moves and blinks, and also the gums in the dragons mouth are of silicone as well as the "warts" on the head. All to get a more "alive" feeling to the dragon.

My two other younger sisters, Madelene Stoor & Mikaela Stoor have also been involved a lot in this dragon. Madelene work side by side with Janina for some time, helping her out with a chainsaw sculpting parts for the body ( stomache, neck claws etc), Madelene also assisted me on the dragons head when I needed a hand!!

Mikaela our youngest sister arrived a few weeks ago to Sweden and gave me a hand with the paintjob of the body and the dragons head when it was joined with the body.

Since March 2012 we have been working so hard on getting this dragon finished and I cannot even start to mention ALL PEOPLE involved in the making of this dragon, FOR THERE ARE MANY NAMES TO BE MENTIONED!! Too many!

I will write a blog later on and show you photos from the start and mention the team I have worked closely with! But all in all, there are so many forces behind this dragon and all of them have done an outstanding job to make this dragon become a reality. So many great people working as a big team, assisting, building, fixing, making things work, lending hands, machines and brains... Without you we would not have been able to make it! My warmest thank you to all of you for this journey! !! Do visit Troska Skogen
